A menu is the hardest-working piece of print a restaurant owns. Every customer holds it, most for several minutes, and it is doing your selling while they decide.
The real decision is how often prices change
Everything else follows from this.
If prices move. Seasonally, or with supply. Buy standard stock and reprint.
100lb gloss wipes clean, looks good, and costs little enough that updating in six months is a decision you make in a second. A restaurant with a taped-over price or a handwritten correction has lost more credibility than the reprint would have cost.
If the menu is stable, buy premium.
14pt cardstock has real weight in the hand and survives a full service without going soft at the corners. It feels like a restaurant rather than a printout.
Laminating. Two-sided question
We can laminate. A laminated menu is genuinely wipeable, survives spills, and lasts a year or more of daily handling. It is the obvious answer for a diner, a cafe or anywhere menus get greasy hands on them every day.
The trade is permanence. You cannot change a price, add a dish, or cross out the fish that did not arrive. If your menu changes even occasionally, laminating turns a cheap update into a full reprint. Ask us and we will quote it, but think about that first.
