The arena's sign rules
UBS Arena welcomes small signs that show your support. Its own page sets these rules:
- No bigger than 11 x 17 in
- About the event, with nothing obscene or offensive on it
- Not on a stick or a pole, and not made of wood, metal, plastic or other hard material
- No website and no advertising on it
- Not hung on or stuck to the building, and not held where it blocks the view of the fans behind you
Check your event first
A team or a show can set rules of its own, so look at your event's page on the arena's website before you go. The arena has the last word at the door. Print 4K is a print shop in Elmont, not part of UBS Arena or any team; the rules above are the ones the arena publishes.
Our signs fit them
- 11 x 17 in exactly, held tall or wide
- 16 pt gloss card: thick and stiff enough to hold up all game, and paper, not a hard board
- Nothing on it but your words and your pictures: no logo of ours, no website
- Full color on one side, or both sides for a second message to flip to ($5 more a sign)
Type it, and it is on the sign
Open a fan sign in the Design Lab and type what it should say. The words land on the sign as you type, big and bold. Add a photo, pick your team's colors, turn it tall or wide, see it in 3D and order it. Or send your own file at 11 x 17 in.
- Make a fan sign in the Design Lab: what you type goes straight onto the sign.
Ready the same day
Order by noon and it is ready the same day; ordered later, it is ready the next day we are open. Pick it up at 1399 Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont, on the same road as the arena. We ship too, for a game later in the season.
What fans put on them
- A cheer for the team or a favorite player
- My first game, a birthday or an anniversary
- A message for the stage at a concert
- Your section and row
Common questions
What size signs are allowed at UBS Arena?
Signs up to 11 x 17 in, about two sheets of letter paper side by side. Ours are printed at exactly 11 x 17 in.
Can I bring a foam board or poster board sign?
Not a hard one. UBS Arena turns away signs made of wood, metal, plastic or other hard material, and any sign on a stick or a pole. Foam board and coroplast are plastic, so leave them home. Our signs are 16 pt card, a thick paper.
How much does a fan sign cost?
At Print 4K, $14.99 for one, $24.99 for two, $54.99 for five and $99.99 for ten. Both sides adds $5 a sign. Prices are before sales tax.
How fast can I get one?
Order by noon and it is ready the same day; ordered later, it is ready the next day we are open. Pickup is at 1399 Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont.
Can I put a picture on my sign?
Yes, your own photo, in full color. Add it in the Design Lab, or send your own file. Leave off websites and anything that reads as an ad: the arena turns those away.
Are concert signs different?
The arena's rules are the same for a concert unless the show sets its own, so check your event's page before you go.
Is Print 4K part of UBS Arena?
No. Print 4K is a print shop in Elmont, not part of UBS Arena, the New York Islanders or any team. We print signs that fit the rules the arena publishes, and the arena decides at the door.
