A rack card is a brochure that gave up on folding and got better at being picked. Rigid, tall, narrow, and sized for the display stands in every hotel lobby and visitor center in the country.

Design for the top three inches

This is the whole game and most rack cards get it wrong. In a display rack, your card overlaps the one behind it and only the top three inches are visible. That strip is competing with fifteen or twenty other cards, and it is all a passer-by will ever see.

So the top three inches need the hook: what you are, and why someone would want it. Not your logo. A logo at the top is a name nobody recognizes yet; a logo at the bottom is a logo nobody sees at all. Put the reason to pick it up where the eye lands, and the branding underneath.

Two stocks, one real question

14pt Gloss (included) is rigid enough to stand up in a rack without curling forward. That is the baseline requirement and it meets it.
