A straight photographic print. No mount, no frame, no backing. Just the image on paper, ready to frame yourself, hand to a client or put in an album.
Luster, and why we default to it
Luster is a professional photo paper with a fine grain pebble texture. It is the surface most portrait, wedding and event photographers order, and for good reason:
It does not glare.
A gloss print under a ceiling light, or behind frame glass, throws back the room. Luster scatters that light instead.
It does not hold fingerprints.
Gloss shows every touch. These get handled. Passed round a table, put in an album, shown to a client. And luster survives that.
It still holds detail and color.
The texture is fine enough that you lose nothing compared with gloss; the blacks stay deep.
