What you get
- Your photo printed on canvas, then stretched by hand over wood bars in our Elmont shop
- Gallery wrap: the picture carries on around the sides, so no frame is needed
- A matte finish and no glass, so there is no glare
- A sawtooth hanger on the back, ready for a nail
The gallery wrap
About 1.5 in of the picture wraps around the sides, so keep faces and words away from the edges. If your picture is tight to the edges, say so in the order notes and we mirror the edges instead.
What size your photo prints at
Canvas wants about 150 pixels for every inch. A photo from a phone (12 megapixels) prints well up to 16 x 20 in. 24 x 36 in needs about 3,600 x 5,400 pixels. A phone photo is shaped a little differently from most canvas sizes, so it is cropped a little to fit, and the proof shows you the crop.
A picture from ChatGPT
A ChatGPT picture is 1024 x 1536 pixels. On an 8 x 10 in canvas it is a little under the 150 pixels an inch canvas wants, so it may print a little soft. A picture with more pixels prints sharper.

Where to hang it
Canvas is made for indoors. Keep it out of bathrooms and direct sun, where damp and sunlight work on it, and dust it with a dry cloth.
