A feather flag works for one reason: movement. A static sign becomes invisible to people who pass it every day; a flag that shifts in the breeze keeps catching the eye. That is why forecourts, sidewalk sales and event entrances use them.
Read the single-sided warning before you order
A single-sided flag is one layer of fabric. The ink soaks through the weave, so from the back your artwork appears mirror-reversed. Readable, but backwards. For a flag against a wall, or where traffic only passes one way, that is fine and it is the cheaper option.
If people will see it from both directions. A forecourt, a median, a two-way street. Pay the $80 for double-sided. That is two printed layers with an opaque liner sewn between them, so both sides read correctly.
Pick the right base for the ground
Ground spike (included). Grass or soft dirt only. Drives in, holds well, costs nothing extra.
Cross base with water bag (+$25). For sidewalk, forecourts, showroom floors and anywhere you cannot put a spike in the ground. Fill the bag on site; empty it to move the flag.
