Still the cheapest piece of marketing that ever works. Someone asks what you do, and thirty seconds later they are holding something with your name on it.
Pick the stock first. It matters more than the design
People judge a card in the half-second before they read it, and that judgment is entirely about how it feels.
14pt Gloss (included). Coated both sides, colors pop, wipes clean. The standard, and it looks it. Note you cannot write on gloss with a ballpoint, which matters if you scribble a mobile number on the back.
16pt Premium (+$8). The same finish on noticeably thicker board. This is the one upgrade people actually register in the hand. If the card is doing any selling for you, spend the eight dollars.
Soft-Touch Matte (+30%, at least $31). A velvety laminate. Blacks go deep, there is no glare, and it feels expensive because it is. Permanent pen only.
Recycled (+$6). Uncoated and natural. Takes a pen beautifully. Color prints slightly softer than on a coated stock; that is the paper doing its thing, not a printing fault.
Rounded corners
+$10 for the run. Two reasons people choose them: they do not dog-ear in a pocket, and they read as more considered than a square card. Two reasons not to: they cost more, and on a very traditional card they can look off-brand.
